Healthy and Environment Friendly Food For Early Childhood Children, A Webinar Held by ars86care foundation in Commemoration of World Food Day
ars86acare foundation has successfully conducted a WEBINAR on "Healthy and Environment Friendly Food for Early Childhood Children" in commemoration of World Food Day. The WEBINAR was held on the 29th of October 2022, and was attended by friends, volunteers, teachers, and parents of ars8c6are foundation.
The importance of a healthy eating habit should be seriously discussed because it will determine the potential growth of a child. The WEBINAR encourages parents and teachers to start this healthy lifestyle at an early age. We welcomed Kak Oky Setyarso, a nutritionist, and Kak Cahyo, a lecturer from PG-PAUD Trilogi University Jakarta, both of whom are qualified to talk about these important issues.
Children will need a balanced diet to optimize their growth, especially in their golden age. Both our speakers agree that this habit can start at home by cooking home-cooked meals and appreciating local resources as part of children’s daily food diet. In our previous WEBINAR, we encouraged parents to participate in a video challenge, to demonstrate lunch box preparation for their children to take to school. This is a way to encourage positive participation from parents and showcase the way they create healthy habits in their home.
During the course of the WEBINAR, each speaker took turns discussing key messages around a balanced diet, local resources, and types of menus suitable for a growing child. In between, we were also announcing winners from the video challenge, which was anticipated by all the viewers at home. Congratulations for:
We hope parents as well as teachers who were watching could gain new knowledge on creating a healthier eating habit for children that also encourages them to be environmentally friendly. Selecting food that is consumed from a single-use plastic bag, opting to use lunch boxes instead of buying from the store with many plastic wastes, and so on. Thank you for all the judges who have participated Ibu Marini Widowati, Ibu Ariesta Komalasanti, and Ibu Mimi Tadjoedin, also a big thank you for Kak Cahyo and Kak Oky for kindly sharing their knowledge with many parents and teachers who are eager to learn. See you in the next WEBINAR!
